Five hours drive through Flinders Range Natinal Park in the speed of max. 20kmph on some of the worst roads I’ve seen made us decide for the sake of our car, not to try do something like that again. And suddenly you actually see the need of those jeeps people use in big cities back home.
But we have by now seen our first kangaroos, emus and something that looked like a ”kotte”. More likely a lizzard of some kind.
We’re now stationed in stormy cold Port Agusta for topping up fuel and food and for doing some laundry. Tomorrow we will drive towards Coober Pedy, a opal mining town 560 km traight up north from Port Agusta. The forecast says around 30 degrees, which is a lot more than here right now so we are both looking forward to it and fear it.
